With how globalized the world is today, product influx and exchange is seemingly unlimited. Individuals have access to products from China, Thailand, India, Italy, Brazil and beyond all at one's fingertips. So why is important to buy "Made in the USA"?

1. Feed your own economy. Buying American-made goods fosters our independence as a country and encourages our own growth. Independence allows for less borrowing from and therefore less debt to other countries.

2. Reduced carbon footprint. By manufacturing, packaging and shipping from a US based location, our companies resource consumption is reduced. Our carbon output is similarly reduced as we strive to minimize the distances our raw materials travel before they are assembled. Manufacturing in the US eliminates lengthy product travel and reduced energy consumption.

3. Help create jobs. The swimsuit you buy creates a job for a sewer in Portland, Oregon. That sewer is able to work in clean, suitable conditions for reasonable pay. They in turn invest in products that enable our economy to prosper and grow. It's all cyclical and it starts at home.
